IDPT (Inductive Data and Power Telemetry) is a robust, self-contained system designed to solve a common engineering challenge: how to deliver power to a sensor on the rotating part, and how to retrieve meaningful, high-integrity data from it.

The Problem We Solve
Accurately measuring parameters on rotating components is a significant engineering hurdle. In environments characterised by extreme temperatures, very high rotational speeds, challenging space constraints, or significant electromagnetic interference, traditional methods fall short. Wires twist, fatigue and break, batteries overheat, fractionation of battery chemicals occur, and standard wireless (radio) signals can be corrupted.

Our IDPT system is an inductively powered, fully contactless telemetry system. It provides a complete, integrated solution for measuring critical parameters like torque, bending, thrust, and temperature on rotating components.

How IDPT works is simple
1. Single Cable Solution
A rugged coaxial cable is routed from your stationary control unit to the measurement point. This one cable simultaneously supplies all the necessary power to the sensors and returns high-fidelity, digital data on the component’s operating conditions.
2. Fully Contactless Operation
The system uses a sealed, static unit and a rotating unit separated by a small air gap. Power and data are transferred across this gap without any physical contact, eliminating wear and making it ideal for permanent installation or long-term testing.
3. High-Fidelity, Ready-to-Use Signal
The system delivers a clean, amplified, and temperature-compensated digital signal, seamlessly integrating with your existing data acquisition hardware.
