IMechE Annual Dinner 2025: Celebrating 200 Years of Railway Engineering

As the headline sponsor, we are proud to present the Institution of Mechanical Engineers’ (IMechE) premier event of the year: the Annual Dinner 2025. This black-tie gala is an extra-special occasion, celebrating 200 years of railway engineering since the opening of the Stockton and Darlington railway by the IMechE’s first President, George Stephenson. Hosted by the 140th President, Matt Garside, the event will be held at the historic Boilershop in Newcastle – Stephenson’s original workshop – offering a unique and fitting backdrop for this milestone celebration.
The evening is a highlight for the engineering profession, featuring a prestigious awards ceremony, inspiring addresses from CEO Dr. Alice Bunn and President Matt Garside, and a keynote speech on the future of engineering. Following a superb three-course dinner, the formal proceedings will give way to a traditional cèilidh and networking, providing an unparalleled opportunity to connect with and celebrate the leaders and innovators shaping our industry. We are delighted to support this exceptional night of recognition, inspiration, and community.
