Real-Time Wear Intelligence
Wear Monitoring Probe
Instant critical alerts
0.5 mm resolution
Long-life battery
4 mm probe diameter
Wear Monitoring Probe is a compact, wireless system that delivers real-time insights into liner and chute liner bolt wear, allowing operators to plan maintenance before failures occur. It offers a reliable way to track mill wear across critical components, ensuring early signs of deterioration don’t go unnoticed.
Engineered for the harshest industrial environments, it enhances mining mill reliability, minimises downtime, and supports proactive, data-driven wear monitoring and maintenance planning.
In the mining industry, where production output can range from $50k to $250k per hour, minimising downtime is critical. By continuously monitoring component wear with sub-millimetre precision, the Wear Monitoring Probe removes the uncertainty of manual inspections. It helps operators maximise uptime and asset availability, where every hour of operation counts.
Core Benefits of Wear Monitoring Probe
Proactive Maintenance
Monitor abrasive wear progression and schedule maintenance before failures occur, preventing costly, unplanned downtime. This provides a major advantage for operators managing mining mill wear in high-impact grinding environments.
Reduce Downtime
Keep operations running longer thanks to the WMP’s long-life battery and real-time monitoring
Data-Driven Decisions
View wear trends, compare historical data, and receive instant alerts when thresholds are exceeded, enhancing maintenance strategies.
Global Data Access
Access data anywhere through the GDN® portal, enabling teams to stay informed across sites.

Designed for precision and durability
Wear Monitoring Probe is engineered for accuracy and ease of integration. The system’s slim 4mm probe diameter requires minimal modification, preserving bolt integrity and making it ideal for retrofitting existing assets. With customisable probe lengths and resolutions, every system can be tailored to match your needs. The probe is perfect for applications requiring detailed wear monitoring, including progressive tracking of mill liner bolt wear.
Once fitted, the sensor automatically wakes at defined intervals, measures remaining probe length, and transmits the data wirelessly to the transceiver. Data is securely uploaded to the cloud and accessed through the GDN® portal, providing live visibility of wear rate and condition without interrupting operations. This automated, continuous wear monitoring helps detect early signs of chute liner and mill liner bolt wear, preventing unexpected production disruptions.

Key Features of Wear Monitoring Probe

Bolt-Friendly Design
The probe's compact 4mm diameter enables quick, non-intrusive installation, maintaining bolt integrity on liner and chute liner bolts. This makes it ideal for monitoring mining mill wear and detecting gradual mill liner bolt wear.
Precision Accuracy
Delivers high-resolution measurement down to 0.5mm and up to 510mm (with 2mm of resolution) of active wear length for early insight into abrasive wear of your assets. Custom lengths and resolutions are available on request.
Real-Time Access via the GDN® Portal
Instantly access wear data through the Global Data Network (GDN®) portal, a cloud-based platform that delivers actionable insights anywhere in the world.
Long-life, maintenance-free operation
The system operates for up to 5 years (depending on reporting frequency), ensuring continuous, maintenance-free operation in even the harshest environments.
Instant Critical Alerts
Receive automatic, real-time alerts when wear thresholds are exceeded, allowing maintenance teams to act quickly and prevent costly downtime through proactive mining mill wear monitoring.
