Wear Monitoring Probe - to scale with ruler

Wear Monitoring Probe is a compact, wireless system that delivers real-time insights into liner and chute liner bolt – allowing operators to plan maintenance before failures occur.

Engineered for the harshest industrial environments, it enhances mining mill reliability, minimises downtime, and supports proactive, data-driven maintenance.

In the mining industry, where production output can range from $50k to $250k per hour, minimising downtime is critical.  By continuously monitoring component wear with sub-millimetre precision, the wear monitoring probe removes the uncertainty of manual inspections, helping operators maximise uptime and asset availability, where every hour of operation counts.

Core Benefits of Wear Monitoring Probe

Proactive Maintenance

Monitor abrasive wear progression and schedule maintenance before failures occur, preventing costly, unplanned downtime.

Reduce Downtime

Keep operations running longer thanks to the WMP’s long-life battery and real-time monitoring

Data-Driven Decisions

View wear trends, compare historical data, and receive instant alerts when thresholds are exceeded, enhancing maintenance strategies.

Global Data Access

Access data anywhere through the GDN® portal, enabling teams to stay informed across sites.

Wear Monitoring Probe installed on Liner Bolt

Designed for precision and durability

Wear Monitoring Probe is engineered for accuracy and ease of integration. The systems slim 4mm probe diameter requires minimal modification, preserving bolt integrity and making it ideal for retrofitting existing assets. With customisable probe lengths and resolutions, every system can be tailored to match your needs.

Once fitted, the sensor automatically wakes at defined intervals, measures remaining probe length, and transits the data wirelessly to the transceiver. Data is securely uploaded to the cloud and accessed through the GDN® portal, providing live visibility of wear rate and condition without interrupting operations.
